Greenway Nursery is part of the Hastings Town
Sure Start Children's Centre in
Waterworks Road, Hastings.

The nursery is open plan design and well equipped to a high standard including outdoor play area.

The Baby area 0-2 years is a stimulating and relaxing environment where children are encouraged to learn through play using the
'Eary Years Foundation Stage' curriculum.

The Toddler and Pre-school areas are designed to educate and develop every child's potential providing activities and promoting progression through 'Stepping Stones' to 'Early Years Foundation Stage' curriculum'.

Parents/carers are encouraged to spend time in the nursery settling their child/children in or helping out with special activities/trips.

STAFF
Staff are trained to Makaton Signing, 1st Aid and Child Protection with a minimum of NVQ2 and higher. Staff Ratios are always in accordance with new National Standards for Childcare
which are:
0-2 years: 1 staff to 3 children
2 years old: 1 staff to 4 children
3+ years old: 1 staff to 8 children

The Nursery follows the National Day Care Standards to a high specification, and is working towards achieving Aiming High Quality Assurance Accreditation.

Health and nutritional snacks are provided in the day but parents / carers should provide a healthy packed lunch/baby milk and nappies,
if required.
