What we offer:
FSN nurseries provide a safe and nurturing environment for babies and children. We offer a wide range of well-planned activities and resources to supports children’s learning and development. Our high quality care encourages children to become independent and confident learners.
FSN believes that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents/carers and settings work together in partnership. Parents/carers have individual, password protected, 24 hour access to their child’s online learning journal to ensure they are always fully informed of their child’s progress. The online journal also enables parents to share any learning or experiences that children do at home.
Additionally, we offer regular verbal feedback, parent consultations, home visits before your child starts nursery, settling in visits, key person to ensure close parent–partnerships and access to other FSN projects and opportunities for families to offer a holistic approach for children, young people and families.
All of our nurseries participate in:
Healthy Active Little Ones Programme
FSN nurseries understand the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles at the earliest stage to ensure the best start for children. The HALO project, funded by the local Clinical Commissioning Group, allows our nurseries to provide activities and resources for children to develop their physical skills and to learn about the importance of healthy eating.
Early Communication Project
The Early Communication Project enables settings to develop their work with children who are identified with a speech, language or communication need.
An Early Communications Support Worker works with the staff at the nurseries to help identify children who may require additional support and to then provide evidenced-based interventions to improve outcomes for these families.
